Epilogue

Here is a fourth and final photo of the hail storm at Goblin Valley State Park. The sun has reappeared and, except for piles of slush and puddles, there was little evidence that such a powerful force had passed. (I’m ignoring those dents on the car.) Other areas to the NE were also hard hit. Driving out of the park we came upon a swiftly moving coil of reddish water…what had been a dry, seasonal streambed on our entrance was brimming with runoff and debris from the surrounding hills.
