Wide-Angle Heaven

That would be the Grand Canyon. Except…none of these photos were taken with a wide-angle lens. Instead, I used a 70-200 (on a tripod), adjusting the focal length to suit my compositions, and stitched them into a final frame with PTGui. Why not a wide lens? For me, shooting wider than 35mm pushes the subject(s) too far away—I prefer to zoom in to see details, and combine those into a panoramic 3:1 or 4:1 aspect ratio.
