Rubber-banded bundles of receipts from that Big Summer Trip…unlabeled folders stuffed with important information…errant stacks of slides (it happens) waiting for the scanner…all these things, and more, share this in common: as a new year relentlessly approaches photographers begin to finally sort them out. The rest of the year…we were too busy shooting, editing, communicating, editing again, submitting, posting, and chatting…to ever consider organizing.
Our offices are personal Lost & Found Departments, and we are in charge, The Boss, the Responsible Party. No one else to blame, and glad we are that check didn’t expire for 90 days! Hey, I knew it was there. See, I put green rubber bands around that pile.
It’s too bad you can’t buy organization at a liquor store.
