Yellowstone In Winter


I’ve passed Roaring Mountain several times over the years, usually stopping simply to grab a snack and stretch the legs. Like Mammoth Hot Springs, there is less thermal activity
here than in years past, and without the steam…well, it’s mostly a rocky, barren area. Then comes Winter. A skilled retoucher, The Old Man covers up all the rocky pits and blemishes, adds contrast, and enhances that steam with frigid air.
